Tigilanol Tiglate: A New Tool for Treatment of Mast Cell Tumors

Join Veterinary Oncologist, Pamela Jones, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology), DACVR (Radiation Oncology) and Virbac this April 11, 2021 as we discuss a novel non-surgical therapy for treatment of mast cell tumors!

This 1.5 hour presentation will begin with a quick review of the local treatment of mast cell tumors including some of their limitations. Next, we will introduce attendees to STELFONTA® (tigilanol tiglate injection), a new option for treatment of canine mast cell tumors. The program will familiarize practitioners with the drug’s unique mechanism of action for tumor removal and will also cover background studies and efficacy trial data. Finally, we will discuss how to use this drug in everyday practice, including real-life case examples and Q&A.

Pamela Jones, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology), DACVR (Radiation Oncology)

Dr. Pamela Jones underwent her veterinary training in the United States at Colorado State University. She completed a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery followed by a three-year oncology residency and a two-year residency in radiation oncology. She is board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in medical oncology and by the American College of Veterinary Radiology in radiation oncology. She has enjoyed specialty practice in the southwestern United States and has served in several capacities in the pharmaceutical industry including her current position at QBiotics as Professional Services Director.
